Koru Apartment provide the ideal home-from-home for your holiday in
Mediterranean Turkey. Just 5 minutes’ walk from Kalkan’s picturesque town
centre and harbour, with stunning views across the bay, this spacious
property is perfect for families, couples or groups of friends. The house,
spread over three floors, sleeps six people in three bedrooms. The one-bedroom
apartment, which sleeps two to four people is on the ground floor with
direct access to the pool. The two properties can be taken together or
individually and are beautifully furnished in Turkish contemporary style,
with fully-equipped fitted kitchens and bathrooms. Outside, there is a
well-tended garden, stocked with native shrubs, and a good-sized swimming-pool
with plenty of sun loungers for lazy afternoons soaking up the sun.
Supermarkets, cafes and restaurants can be found just a few metres from
the property and all of the amenities of Kalkan are within a few minutes
walk.

Prices shown are for the property(s) per week in UK Pounds.
Discounts are offered for repeat bookings, recommendations and stays of
longer than two weeks. Minimum stay is one week - part weeks are charged
at one seventh of the weekly rent for each additional day. Prices include
cleaning and linen change at the end of each week. Midweek clean/linen
change is available at an extra charge.

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible, subject only to availability. Arrival time
is normally 4pm and departure 11am, though we try to be flexible where the
arrival/departure of other guests allows. Minimum stay is one week.

Accommodation
Villa Rose (3
Bedroom, Sleeps 6)
Villa Rose has three bedrooms (one
double, two twins), all air-conditioned with private balconies.
Bedrooms 1 and 2, on the raised ground floor, share a WC/shower room.
A further bathroom with jacuzzi is on the first floor. Bedroom 3 (sloping
ceiling) is on the top floor with its own WC/shower room, and has a
large roof terrace with views over the harbour.
On the first floor, the spacious open-plan living/dining room/kitchen
leads on to large wraparound balcony. The well-equipped kitchen has
fridge-freezer, oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine, as well
as a good range of utensils and tableware. The living room is
furnished with comfortable sofas, together with a dining table and
chairs.
Access from the house to the pool is via one flight of steps from the
ground floor.
Koru Apartment (1
Bedroom, Sleeps 2/4)
Koru Apartment is on the ground
floor level, with direct access to the garden and pool terrace.
The air-conditioned double bedroom has adjoining WC/shower room. Two
single sofa beds in the open-plan living/dining room provide extra
accommodation for two people. The kitchen is well-equipped with fridge,
hob, washing machine, toaster, kettle, iron/ironing board, as well as
utensils and tableware
Notes on accommodation
Towels and bed linen and provided (except beach towels) and are changed at
the end of each week. The properties are cleaned weekly, though a mid-week
clean and linen change can be arranged at an extra charge. Both properties
are air-conditioned and all utility costs are included. Please note that
the owners live on site, but the pool and garden are for the exclusive use
of guests.
Accessibility
As the house and apartment are constructed over four levels, they are not
suitable for people of limited mobility. However, the apartment can be
accessed directly from the road at ground floor level. The pool is
unfenced, so young children should be supervised at all times.
Outside
Entrance to the house is via a terrace at first floor level (the apartment
is down one flight of steps). The good-sized pool is shared between the
apartment and house. Plenty of sun loungers, chairs and umbrellas are
provided, together with a comfortable swing seat. The pool is set in a
pleasant garden, stocked with native shrubs, flowers and trees, which
enhance the feeling of privacy. Street parking is available close to the
entrance to the property.

Coast/Beach
The property is just a few minutes’ downhill walk to Kalkan’s harbour and
small beach. A number of neaby ‘beach clubs’ offer sun loungers and waiter
service on sunbathing platforms with direct access to the sea. The
beautiful, sandy beaches of Kaputas and Patara are about five and 20
minutes’ drive away respectively. Kas, 25 minutes away, has several beach
clubs and two small pebbly beaches, as well as 3 or 4 sand/pebble beaches
across the harbour at Liman Agzi (10 mins by local boat service).
Travel
Kalkan is just over one and a half hour’s drive by car from Dalaman
Airport, and approximately three and a half hours from Antalya. The owners
of the property, who also own Kalkan’s popular and long-standing Abi
Travel travel and tour agency, can arrange airport transfers and car hire
at competitive prices. More locally, dolmuses run frequently to nearby Kas
(via Kaputas beach) and, in the opposite direction, to Patara and then on
to Xanthos and Fethiye.

Further details
The property is a very easy walk to all of Kalkan’s shops and services, as
well as its large array of bars, cafés and restaurants, which cater to
practically every budget and taste from a simple Turkish breakfast to
gourmet international cuisine. For guests who wish to eat in on some
evenings, there are well-stocked supermarkets, as well as good local
butchers, greengrocers and patisseries. The bus station and local Thursday
market are a short stroll away, as are the PTT and banking facilities.

provisionally reserved for a maximum of 7 days, with reservations only
confirmed on receipt of the completed booking form and a 25% non-returnable
deposit. The final balance is due six weeks before the date of arrival (or
at the time of booking if less than six weeks before arrival). Payment is
by online bank transfer, credit card or personal cheque unless otherwise
agreed.
